Esteban Farias brings his Argentinian flair to dog showing.  He began showing as a young boy when his family purchased a show doberman. As he watched professional handlers show their family doberman, he felt he could do better! At eight years of age his parents gave him the opportunity to show their dog and his natural talents came to life!

By his mid-twenties Esteban was considered one of the top handlers in Argentina.  He handled the famous doberman, Lex Luther, who became Argentina’s top dog amongst all breeds.

In 2000, he and Lex traveled to the United States and won several best in shows.  This was such a thrill for Esteban because while in Argentina he and his dog show friends would look through magazines from the United States and were in awe of the many famous handlers.  Handlers from the United States were considered the best in the world!

Esteban’s next opportunity arose when a doberman breeder in Florida invited him to show dobermans for her in the United States.  Esteban worked hard and eventually was able to branch out on his own. During the next twenty years he won many national specialities and earned top 20 national rankings in several breeds.  In 2013, he and his doberman Bella were ranked number one doberman in the USA.

In addition, he has dominated the pug ring for almost a decade earning number one status repeatedly.  He won several national specialties with pugs.  In 2018, he and Biggie the pug, won the toy group at both Westminster and the AKC dog show in Orlando.  He and Biggie finished the year as number one toy in the country.

Esteban is an extremely talented handler with a bigger than life personality.  He and his wife, Jen, live in North Carolina with their son and twin daughters.

Meet the Professionals for Junior Handlers is a monthly webinar facilitated by Kelly Lyn Marquis and WinAll Coaching LLC. The purpose of the program is to bridge the gap between professional dog show handlers and junior handlers who aspire to become pros. It provides an opportunity for juniors to get to know handlers on a more personal level, learn unique training tips and methods, and create an open forum for juniors to access the expertise of top professionals nationwide. Junior handlers are typically between 9 and 18 years old.

The program is designed for junior handlers but anyone interested in professional handling is welcome to attend.
